A Shot to the Head

I haven't had a real crazy dream in a while, but last night I did.

I was standing outside a store when an Asian man approaches me. He asked me a question that I can not for the life of my remember now. Whatever is was, my answer was "no". His response was "wrong answer" and he then pulled a gun from behind his back. He fired one shot but I didn't react to it. I guess he thought he had missed. He fired another shot and this one I had an immediate reaction to because it hit me in the neck.

I turned around and saw my reflection in the window of the store behind me. Holding my neck, I noticed there was blood coming from the top of my head and running down my face. My first reaction was not to get help, but to grab my cellphone and take a picture! I am sure I would have uploaded to Facebook or Twitter! Evidently, the bullet grazed the top of my head. Talk about being hard headed! I didn't even feel it!

Through out the course of my dream, a bone started to stick out from the hole in my neck. The weird thing is, the wound in my neck was not bleeding, only my head.

Thank you Ambien!

October 23, 2009

Nothing really to report dream wise, but this exciting thing happened right before I fell asleep!

I have to take Ambien to sleep because my mind is always running a 100 MPH even when it is tired. Last night I took the pill and laid in bed for a little while reading. I am doing research on Elizabeth Bathory for an article I will be writing soon. While I was reading, I caught something out of my peripheral vision.

The laundry basket was in the floor about 5 feet from the bed. It is the round plastic kind and the thick edge around the top was moving in and out like someone was squeezing it. I glanced inside the basket and the 2 shirts on top were moving also. It looked as though they were ‘breathing’. I really wasn’t freaked out, more fascinated that anything. It’s been a while since I have had a hallucination while on Ambien and I have to say that I miss them.

October 16th - Kicked to the Curb

This dream was totally Ambien induced!

In this dream I was driving to the beach. I arrived at the hotel but there was no parking so I had to park across the street. While walking back to the hotel, I had to walk down a narrow sidewalk that crossed over a small body of water. A family was walking toward me and a small child, that couldn't be no older than 2, was walking ahead of them.

The mother threw her leg up over the child, to make way for me to walk passed them. Why she didn't pick the child up, I have no idea! In the process of her swinging her leg over the child she kicked it into the water.

I immediately ran over to the edge of the sidewalk and the child was floating in the water, already dead, because it's head was decapitated! The woman kept screaming to call 911 and I calmly said to her, "Can't you see that you kicked it's head off?"

October 12th, 2009 - Death By Putty Knife

At just a little after 3:30 am I awoke from a dream. It was the most exhilarating dream I have had in a while. I don't remember much, but the part I remembered was amazing!

I found myself in a garage that was attached to a house. I vaguely remember being in the house, but I think I one point I was. There were a few people in the garage, mostly men. One started coming at me. The first thing I saw to grab was a putty knife that was laying on a work table beside me.

I flung the putty knife across the room like a knife thrower at a side show. It landed in the man's chest all the way up to the handle. I ran over to the man and quickly removed the knife and then slit open his throat with it. I proceeded to make my way from person to person killing every last one of them with this putty knife. I felt like a ninja with a sword! What a nice bloody mess.

After I woke up, I immediately grabbed my phone and posted a reply on twitter:

I knew if I didn't, I probably wouldn't have remember this amazing dream. So be prepared for my crazy posts in the middle of the night if a dream like this happens again!
